Firefox 3 Beta
Posted by Nathan Rambarran on Friday, March 14, 2008
Firefox 3 Beta is out and it's SWEET! I installed it on my mac early yesterday and I'm loving it. It's blazing fast. Switching between tabs and page loads are remarkably faster than Firefox 2. It feels like I'm flying. It's even got a new design which feels squeaky clean, could it be because my google and web developer toolbar extensions are missing? That's the only downfall I've found so far, none of my extensions from Firefox 2 work in Firefox 3.

Jason, if you are on a PC I guess that is the case. As a mac user it's really easy to rename firefox 2 and then just drag the .app file into your applications folder.
Well I installed it and tested it out, it seems pretty sweet. One thing I'm not a fan of is that its a BETA version and upgrades your FF2... It should be a totally separate install until the final version is released.
I can't use FF3 because of a few obvious bugs still & all of my add-ons being incompatible (especially firebug). It's still a great step forward though.
